What do you think of AATP's new Aristokitty line? I personally feel incredibly conflicted about it. It's got two of my FAVORITE things wrapped in one; cats and clocks. On the flipside, the harlequin print I think is detracting from the clocks and cats, which should be the main focus. Certain colorwaves look better than others though, the black and white I feel is muddles, but I have high hopes for the others (specifically the brown) Opinions?

I’m not quite sure how I feel about the JSKs. I think I like version II better than version I though. I can tell you that I absolutely adore the skirt. I think the whole print would be easier to pull off as a skirt because there would be more blocking and the diamonds aren’t so jarring.

And here’s today’s outfit with Vampire Forest. Looks like I may have found someone to go to the con with, thanks so much for the encouragement!

Hello :) I recently bought AATP Galactic Journey to the Stars JSK II in brown and was wondering if (because of the colour) it's considered classic. In the other colour ways it's sweet, but the brown makes it seem more towards the classic side. :)

I would say it’s a mix of both Classic and Sweet and could easily go either way depending on what you coordinate it with.

Hi, I want to know the difference between Baby, the stars shine bright and Alice & the Pirates, can you explain me that please? Thank you :)

They are the same company but AatP is sort of like their spin-off brand.

Submitted question #646:

Submitted question:

http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/ap/jumper/108P233/108P233-cha.jpg I’m absolutely in love with galactic journey to the stars, but the only colourway left for the jsks is brown. I wear predominately gothic, or occasionally stretch out to classic…do you think there would be any way this colour could be worked into some kind of gothic/classic co-ord? Or is it too sweet/classic and I should try to hope that the navy or black colourways pop up second hand?

Response from Lolita Tips:

I think it would be just fine for Classic Lolita and maybe with a bit of creativity you could work some Gothic elements into it. Because there’s black in the print it wouldn’t look too out of place if you were to use a black blouse and maybe black tights, possibly with brown shoes. Then you could bring in a bit of a more Gothic look with the accessories that you can base off the print. Things with trees and stars and moons are fairly easy to find.

Submitted question #641: Coord Help

Submitted question:

I’ve reserved a dress from Alice and the Pirate’s new line, in the navy colorway.

Would black shoes be acceptable to wear with it, or would you recommend finding something in a dark navy to match the color of the JSK? And would you recommend cream or black for the blouse and tights/socks?

Also, a side question; I have hot pink hair, which I dye and upkeep on a regular basis. This normally works with my sweet coords as it matches their colors and themes, but would you recommend wearing a wig with this new JSK? Something, well… toned down? Ha ha

Response from Lolita Tips:

I think black shoes would work just fine and you could use either an ivory or black blouse, whichever you prefer, and maybe either navy or ivory socks. I would say ivory socks if you chose an ivory blouse and navy socks if you choose a black blouse. I suppose black socks could work but it might look a little too matchy-matchy with the shoes if they were plain black. Sorry, I’m not being much help, but I think any of them would look fine really depending on your preference.
As for your hair, you could wear a wig and I think a natural colored wig would definitely make things easier, but if you didn’t want to wear a wig, maybe just choose a simple hairstyle that sort of keeps your hair out of the way like an updo or looped braids (assuming your hair is long). Maybe you could use a larger hair accessory like a bonnet to help draw the eye to the accessory rather than your hair and make the color look less out of place. It makes sense in my head but I’m not sure how well it would look in real life.
