I have Bodylines l379, and I just recently bought a peignoir in peach. For this dress, and a general ruling in lolita, is the peignoir suppose to be the same length as the dress? How would you make it work? Thank You So much!

Generally I’ve noticed that it looks best if the peignoir is the same length as the dress or longer. Assuming you have the JSK in cream I think a peach peignoir would look very cute with it. I would use cream as your base for legwear and some accessories and then incorporate peach into the accessories as well. Maybe peach shoes and a peach hair accessory. This would be gorgeous with it and would open you up to use some gold jewelry.

Could L379 work with an A petti?

No, it definitely seems like bell-shaped is the way to go.

Hey, I'm going to do my first lolita purchase. I was thinking on L379 in black with bluse L402 in off-white, socks455 and shoes192 in black. Would this look good? Any change? And how about the quality of these things? Thanks.

The only thing I would change is the blouse. I think the ruffles on the front would look really weird with the cut of the dress. Something in a similar style to that blouse would work, but I would choose something that didn’t have those ruffles. Everything else looks fine, I would just be sure to add nice accessories to bring it all together.

I'm planning on buying Bodyling L379 soon. However, my bust and waist are a bit above the "max" measurements (the most being the bust, which is about 6-8 cm above the max depending on which bra I'm wearing). From what I can tell about the dress, it looks like it has lacing up the back. If I took the halter straps off and used them to make a shirring panel in the back, or added panels to the sides (thus making it a bustier type JSK), do you think it would be super noticeable, or look bad?

I think it’s possible, but I’m not sure about using the straps because that’s not going to give you much extra fabric to work with. The good thing about that dress is that it’s a solid color so you can easily buy extra solid fabric. Just add it into a shirring panel rather than the sides. It would definitely be more noticeable in the sides where if it was in a shirring panel it would be hidden better. Just be careful that you don’t add too much or you won’t be able to gather the skirt properly again.

Hello! I have Bodyline's L379 in Beige, but I just don't know what color shoes or tights to wear with it. I consider myself to be a classic lolita, but I'm just really stumped.. Could you maybe give me any tips? It doesnt have any "accent" colors on the dress, so I don't know what colors I should match with it.. so I'm afraid to wear it! But I really do love it.. Thank you for your time! <3

There are a lot of accent colors you can throw in. I would personally do either a muted pink or brown. I would use that color for the shoes and other accessories and then maybe the same color as the dress for the legwear. If you wanted a little added interest you could do lace tights or socks instead of tights. The only thing I would specifically advise against would be printed tights unless you were going to do a super impressive hat or something because I think printed tights would weigh the coord down too much and throw it off balance.

(Prom anon here!) Thank you so much for your advice! I read what you said about JSK's with more interesting designs around the neckline that don't need a blouse. The JSK I was thinking about was Bodyline's L379. Since it is a halter and has a heart-shaped neckline, do you think that would be okay?

I think it could be an option and it would work with or without a blouse. You seem to have made that decision really quickly though so I would just suggest looking around a little more. Keep that one in your mind if you don’t find anything you like better, I just wouldn’t want you to settle for something right away.

Would Bodyline's L379 jumperskirt require an A-line petticoat or a bell petticoat? I only have an A-line petticoat, and I was wondering if I could use it for that JSK.

It’s definitely bell-shaped. I don’t think it would look very good at all with an A-line petti considering the way the tiers are gathered.

I purchased a JSK from bodyline [L379] a few days ago, but I just realized it has a halter top instead of two straps... Are halter tops frowned upon in lolita? I'm starting to get worried about it, it's my first real lolita purchase :/

Why would a halter styled JSK be seen as any different than a JSK with two straps? You can still wear it well with a blouse and it still has the overall Lolita concept. It’s fine.

did you know any review about this JSK L379 ? thank you i love blog♥

I don’t know of any reviews but I have seen it before and I can honestly say it looks a lot nicer in real life than it does in Bodyline’s stock photo.

JSK L379 or Skirt L380? Both in Black...

Both, especially the JSK, look a bit questionable in Bodyline’s stock photos, but I have seen them worn on someone else and they look much nicer than they do in Bodyline’s photos.
